![]() ![]() Pretty useful on structures with mainly slim blocks. As I can understand it lowers the friction between the blocks and delivers a small impact to make it worth while. Incredibly late to the train but I had to say, Leonard is pretty cool if you can understand how the snot works. You should definitely unlock Bubbles first as he is the best, then Hal, then Stella, then Leonard. Even after some 5 months trying to learn him, I couldn’t get the hand of using him. Even if you have hit a forward facing target with all 3, you lose his body attack since it pushes him backwards. He sounded promising at first, shooting 3 projectiles and exploding, but the spinning aiming makes him impossible to land more than 2 snot bombs. Also, due to being a softbody, he is much less glitchy and is super funny to look at just blobbing around on the stage. In boss battles, inflating is a great way to move bosses in awkward places you couldn’t hit or explode him out of. Despite not being as good as his “deflation tackle” from AB1, popping at the end of his attack is an added bonus if you learn to use it. He is ultra versatile: dig through a structure and inflate and hit more things with debris, inflate right before hitting a tower to push it away with a lot of force, go in between two towers, etc. The stage building algorithm also wasn’t designed with Hal in mind, so places where he would be actually useful aren’t always present.īubbles is in my opinion the best bird in the game, even better than Terrence. However, he can be occasionally finicky to use, as whether he rips through things is seemingly random and exactly which angle he bommerangs back in is always up in the air, but that doesn’t take away from his power overall. He can go backwards, of course, and is able to rip straight through things and even do a bit of destruction on the other direction if you know how to use him right. ![]() Hal is definitely a great bird that does things no other bird does in the game. You'll need to be keenly aware of opportunities as they present themselves.Stella has basically the same uses as Red with extra push, and though you can do some creative things with her and she is better than in AB1, she isn’t very impressive compared to others. The materials of the structures differ every time you play a stage, so it's a bit of a crap-shoot whether or not you can take advantage of your bird's abilities. Terence is truly massive, and can plow through multiple buildings provided you take proper advantage of the terrain features so he can throw his weight around. ![]() The black bomb bird can take a big bite out of sctructures, particularly good against ones with a strong base that's hard to budge. It's crazy looping manometer can be helpful if mastered properly. The new silver bird is perfect for taking out stone. The matronly white bird, Matilda, drops an egg from above, which is good for hitting TNT crates nestled between two other structures. The red bird's yell is particularly good a knocking down strong structures. The yellow one (Chuck) breaks through wood, in addition to its speedy dash ability. The strength of each is identified in the tutorials and through the handy tips between levels, but as a quick reminder: Since stages are now more or less randomized, your only real tool in winning these stages is knowing which bird to use when. ![]()
